"Sometimes it is enough to show fangs, but if you bite, bite deeply."

The title of this blog is an old Klingon proverb. If I have to stop to explain what Klingon is, then I will have wasted my blogging time wasted time. ;) The above proverb can only hold true if one has teeth/fangs with which to show/bite. Can you guess where this post is going?

Birdie cut a tooth. Yup, that's right. No fussing or crying. Just a little more gumming and drooling and poof, there it was. The familiar sharp white little ridge peeking over a bed of pink gums. It was out for the world to see, as if to say: Mommy and Daddy- I reside in the mouth of an only 4 month old boy but I am ready (and so is he). So, this central incisor (which does not usually make its eruption until about 6-10 months old) even surprised our soft-spoken, mild-manned pediatrician who exclaimed, "Whoa!" as he checked out Logan today. And it is no coincidence that this aforementioned boy has also been given the green light for solids (another blog post entirely).

Along with Mr. Snaggletooth's debut, Logan weighed in at 16 pounds, 1 oz. today (cracking myself up thinking that extra ounce was due to the tooth haha) and was 27" inches long. Birdie's holding steady in the 75th percentile for weight and the 95th percentile for height. He is healthy, growing, and happy.

And, of course, making his Mama proud.

Logan's actual foot imprint at 4 months.
